Kit Features & Gimmicks

Articulation

• The head can swivel on a ball joint, and pivot back on a hinge.
• Torso can tilt frontwards (or backward) or sideways (in a limited manner).
• Shoulder joints can tilt frontward or upward.
• The arms can...
  • Swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
  • Raise horizontally.
• The upper arms can rotate.
• The elbow and knee parts are double-jointed.
• The lower end of the forearm areas can slightly tilt.
• The manipulators can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
• The waist can swivel, though it can be hindered by some hip armor panels.
• Each of the hip joint axis can slide down to provide extra articulation space for the legs.
• The upper thighs can swing frontward (and backward in a very limited extent due to the single-piece rear skirt armor) on a peg, raise horizontally and/or rotate on each piece.
  • Front and side skirt armors can flip up to avoid interference.
• The ankle joints can pivot and/or swivel (though limited) on a ball-and-socket joint.
• The wings are jointed, allowing some articulation.

Weapons/Other Gimmicks

• The hands are swappable.
• Any of the weapons can be wielded by the default hands.
• High Energy Beam Rifles can:
  • Combine each other to form a Long-range Beam Rifle.
  • Store onto the side waist.
• The Beam Saber hilts can be optionally removed from the side armor/railguns as handheld weapons.
  • The kit also comes with an additional coupled hilt to those who wanted to display the kit with such.
• Beam Shield can attach onto either of the arms via parts swapping.
• Railguns can convert into attack mode.
• The head unit can be interchanged with one of the two front V-fin pieces; Regular, or Disruptor-activated.
• Proud Defender can mount onto/detach from the Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam.
  • The wings on the Proud Defender can be unfolded to form High-Mobility Aerial Tactics (HiMAT) Mode.
  • The "Futsunomitama" Physical Katana can be optionally detached from the Proud Defender as a handheld weapon.
• Mighty Strike Freedom can mount onto any Action Bases. (Sold separately)

Tips & Tricks

• For better results, some or most of the details are needed to be applied and panel-lined with Gundam Markers.
• Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers and if any, marking decals and paint details.
  • If using matte/flat-finish top coat, it is advisable not to spray on the clear/translucent parts - can be done by masking or spraying top coat while the said parts are separated.
• Exercise caution while removing the yellow antenna/red forehead panel pieces; Depending on the thickness (caused by paint layers) of the socket on the white head, forcibly removing the parts may snap off its molded tabs. Cutting those tabs short (in an extent) can reduce this issue.
• The Advanced Prototype Railgun (and its storage adapters) from the Option Parts Set Cavalier Aifrid can be used on this Gunpla.

Customizing-based tips

• The DRAGOON backpack from the HGCE Strike Freedom Gundam can mount onto this kit to form the ZGMF/A-262B Strike Freedom Gundam Type II.

Notes & Trivia

• As with the MGSD Freedom Gundam, the Mighty Strike Freedom Gundam uses the "Real Metallic Gloss Injection" for its frame/joint parts, which gives an enhanced metallic luster.
• Despite appearances, the Gunpla does not use the parts from the HGCE Strike Freedom Gundam, as the Mighty Strike Freedom uses the SEED Action System frame used for every HGCE kits based on the Mobile Suits from the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom movie.
• The Gold plastic from the C runner is UV reactive, which means it can illuminate with Ultraviolet lights.
