Articulation
- The head can swivel on a single ball-joint neck.
- The arms can...
- Swing on a peg-and-socket joint.
- Raise horizontally.
- The upper arms can rotate.
- Elbow joints can be bent up to 100 degrees.
- The manipulators can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
- The shield and shoulder flaps are poseable.
- The waist can rotate on a ball-and-socket joint construction, though in a limited extent.
- When mounted on the backpack, the Beam Saber Hilts/Beam Cannon slightly tilt sideways or backwards.
- The upper thighs can swing frontwards (and backwards in a limited manner due to the non-poseable rear skirt armor) on a peg joint, raise horizontally, and/or rotate on each piece.
- Front and side skirt armors are poseable to avoid interference with the leg articulation.
- Knee joints can be bent up to 90 degrees.
- The ankles can swivel/pivot in an extent.
Weapons/Other Gimmicks
- The hands are swappable.
- Each of the weapons must be wielded by their respective hand parts.
- Gundam Tryon 3 can be optionally separated into 3 Tryon units, or combine back into Tryon 3 via parts swapping.
- Sora Tryon's 'Feather Storm' wings are poseable.
- Double Cannonade can be rotated into attack mode.
- Wing shields can be rearranged into Heat Wings.
- The leg's Raptor Breakers can be rearranged into attack mode.
- Sora Tryon's head and handle can be combined to form Hyper Minovsky Chohoken.
- The Gundam Tryon 3, or its 3 separate components, can mount onto any Action Bases or the HGBC Build Custom GP Base (sold separately)
Tips & Tricks
- For better results, some or most of the details are needed to be painted and panel-lined with Gundam markers and/or Mr. Color paints.
- Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers and if any, painted details and/or marking decals
- If using matte/flat-finish top coat, it is advisable not to spray on the translucent parts - can be done by masking or spraying top coat while the said parts are separated.
B-Club related customizations
- High Detail Manipulator 223 can be used for this kit. (Repaint required)
Variants
- Later reissues of the kit from September 2018 onward will feature a blue Bandai Spirits logo. Reprints from mid-2022 onward will also feature the Bandai Namco logo.
Notes & Trivia
- The Metallic-painted Gundam Tryon 3 on the "One Point Technic" (a How-To Tutorial that teaches the builder to customize the kit) featured in the instruction manual coincidentally predates the Full Color Coating/Special Plated Version of the kit.
- This is the only HG ZZ Gundam mold that comes with an additional hand for holding the Hyper Beam Sabers.
- The included Core Fighter is an extra, original-only part.
