Kit Features & Gimmicks

Articulation

• The head can swivel/tilt on a double-sided ball-and-socket joint.
• The torso can tilt back and forth, albeit very slightly.
• Shoulder joints can swing frontward.
• The arms can...
• Swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
• Raise horizontally.
• The upper arms can rotate.
• Elbow joints can be bent up to 90 degrees.
• The manipulators can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
• The waist can rotate, though it can be hindered by a few skirt armor parts.
• The front and side skirt armors can pivot to avoid interference with the leg articulation.
• The hip joint axis can swing left/right on one side.
• The upper thighs can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint, though the backwards articulation is limited due to the non-poseable rear skirt armor)
• The knee joints can only bend up to 90 degrees.
• The ankles can tilt (slightly)/pivot.

Weapons/Other Gimmicks

• Any of the weapons can be wielded by the default hands.
• The Gunpla offers two different modes for the Shield Buster Rifle, allowing the builder to choose between the two and vice versa.
• Large Beam Saber hilt can be optionally removed from the Satellite Cannon as a handheld weapon.
• The shoulder cannon can be rotated into firing mode.
• The Reflector Unit/Satellite cannon can convert into firing mode. (The position for the Reflector panels must be removed and swapped.)
• Gundam X can mount onto any Action Bases. (Sold separately)

Tips & Tricks

• For better results, some or most of the details are needed to be applied and panel-lined with Gundam Markers and/or Mr. Color paints.
• Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers and if any, painted details and marking decals.
• If using matte/flat-finish top coat, it is advisable not to spray on the clear/translucent and the soft parts - can be done by masking or spraying top coat while the said parts are separated.
• Care must be taken while painting the ABS joints: Using enamel paint or excessive lacquer paint layer can damage the plastic.

Customizing-based tips

• The open-palm left hand from the HGAW Gundam X Divider (or the HGBF Gundam X Maoh) can be used on this Gunpla.
• The GX-Bit head from the HGBC The Northern Pod can be used on this Gunpla, though it results on the "Gundam X wearing a GX-Bit head" instead.

Reissues of the kit from September 2018 onward will feature a blue-colored Bandai Spirits logo. Later reprints from mid-2022 will also feature an additional Bandai Namco logo.
