Articulation

• The head can swivel/pivot on a ball-and-socket/hinge neck joint.
• The torso can tilt forward/backward.

Tips & Tricks

• For better results, some or most of the details need to be applied/panel-lined with Gundam Markers and/or Mr. Color paints.
• Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers, and if any, marking decals, and painted details
  • If using matte/flat-finish top coat, it is advisable not to spray on the clear/translucent parts - can be done by masking or spraying top coat while the said parts are separated.

Customizing-based tips

• The Giant Shining Finger and the Shining Finger Sword from the HGFC kit can be used on this Gunpla.
• The Fuunsaiki from the HGFC Master Gundam + Fuunsaiki or the RG Expansion Set for God Gundam can be used on this Gunpla.
• For extra show/design accuracy on the Shining Shot, leg boosters, and shoulder parts, one must buy two identical copies to recreate two different parts (one unpainted gold, one painted gray) for the kit.

Notes & Trivia

• This Gunpla is...
  • First revealed at the 62nd All Japan Model & Hobby Show 2024 event.
  • The first fully-transformable 1/144 scale iteration of the Shining Gundam unit.
• Initially set for an April 2025 release, the Gunpla has been delayed to June 2025.
• Unlike the HGFC kit:
  • The kit does not come with either a Giant Shining Finger or a Shining Finger Sword effect, though they'll likely be released as part of the potential Expansion Parts set add-on.
  • The "G Gundam" text on the long Beam Sword effect is supplied with a marking sticker.
• The decal sheet for the RG Shining Gundam has an alternate King of Hearts emblem simplified to only show the letter "R" over the swords and heart. This emblem design is a callback to the original 1/144 GF13-017NJ Shining Gundam kit, which had that simplified emblem designed specifically for the kit as a sticker, as the full emblem was too costly to print at the time.
