Kit Features & Gimmicks

Articulation

  • The head can swivel/tilt on a single ball-joint neck.
  • The thin panels on the shoulder armors can slightly flip sideways.
  • The arms can...
    • Swing on a peg-and-socket joints.
    • Raise horizontally.
  • The upper arms can rotate.
  • Elbow joints can only be bent up to 90 degrees.
  • The manipulators can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
  • The waist can turn 60 degrees due to being hindered by the panels.
  • The hip joint axis can swing frontwards/backwards on one side.
  • Front skirt armors and the GN Fang Containers can pivot to avoid interference with the legs' frontward articulation.
  • The upper thighs can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint, though the backwards articulation is limited due to the non-poseable rear skirt armor.
  • The knee parts are double-jointed.
  • The ankles can pivot frontward and/or swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.

Weapons/Other Gimmicks

  • GN Buster Sword can detach from the right shoulder as a handheld weapon.
  • GN Hand Gun can be optionally detached from the forearm.
  • The GN Hand Gun can mount with the connection cable, and is capable of connecting to HG Gundam Throne Eins' backpack.
  • As an unadvertised feature, the Beam Saber hilts can be optionally removed from the shoulders as handheld weapons. (You must find a compatible Beam Saber effect piece as well.)
  • The panel underneath the hip joint can be removed to reveal a port for the Action Base, which the Throne Zwei can mount onto.

Tips & Tricks

  • For better results, some/most of the details are needed to applied/panel lined with Gundam Markers and/or Mr. Color paints.
  • Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers and if any, marking decals.
    • If using matte/flat-finish top coat, it is advisable not to spray on the clear/translucent and the soft parts - can be done by masking or spraying top coat while the said parts are separated.
  • Care must be taken while painting the ABS joints: Using enamel paint or excessive lacquer paint layer can damage the plastic.

Variants

Reissues of the kit from September 2018 onward will feature a blue-colored Bandai Spirits logo. Later reprints from mid-2022 will also feature an additional Bandai Namco logo.

Notes & Trivia

  • As the kit was produced prior to it's pilot's death in the episode, the front instruction manual still depicts Michael Trinity as a pilot in spite of his on-screen death 14 days after the previous episode (Trans-Am). It should be noted that neither the data nor the illustration also includes the appearance/mention of Ali al-Sacheez, the Mobile Suit's second pilot.
