Articulation
- The head can swivel/tilt on a single ball-joint neck.
- The thin panels on the shoulder armors can slightly flip sideways.
- The arms can...
- Swing on a peg-and-socket joints.
- Raise horizontally.
- The upper arms can rotate.
- Elbow joints can only be bent up to 90 degrees.
- The manipulators can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
- The waist can turn 60 degrees due to being hindered by the panels.
- The hip joint axis can swing frontwards/backwards on one side.
- The upper thighs can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint, though the backwards articulation is limited due to the non-poseable rear skirt armor.
- Front skirt armors and the GN Fang Containers can pivot to avoid interference with the legs' frontward articulation.
- The knee parts are double-jointed.
- The ankles can pivot frontward and/or swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
Weapons/Other Gimmicks
- The GN Beam Rifle can be wielded by either of the hand parts, though the default position is on the right.
- The GN Launcher can convert into firing mode, with the barrel either folded on unfolded.
- GN Launcher can also convert into GN Mega/High Mega Launcher, with the top-rear section of the GN Beam Rifle flipped out to attach with the launcher.
- Either the HG00 Gundam Throne Zwei and/or the HG00 Gundam Throne Drei's connection cable can attach onto the Throne Eins' backpack.
- The HG00 Gundam Throne Zwei can hold the GN High Mega Launcher's handle.
- As an unadvertised feature, the Beam Saber hilts can be optionally removed from the shoulders as handheld weapons. (You must find a compatible Beam Saber effect piece as well.)
- The panel underneath the hip joint can be removed to reveal a port for the Action Base, which the Throne Eins can mount onto.
Tips & Tricks
- For better results, some/most of the details are needed to applied/panel lined with Gundam Markers and/or Mr. Color paints.
- Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers and if any, marking decals.
- If using matte/flat-finish top coat, it is advisable not to spray on the translucent and the soft parts - can be done by masking or spraying top coat while the said parts are separated.
- Care must be taken while painting the ABS joints: Using enamel paint or excessive lacquer paint layer can damage the plastic.
Variants
Reissues of the kit from September 2018 onward will feature a blue-colored Bandai Spirits logo. Later reprints from mid-2022 will also feature an additional Bandai Namco logo.
- HG00 GNW-002 Gundam Throne Zwei
- HG00 GNW-003 Gundam Throne Drei
Notes & Trivia
- To date, this Gunpla has yet (though unlikely to be) retooled into, or had any official B-Club conversion kits (prior to its discontinuation) of the GNW-001/hs-T01 Gundam Throne Eins Turbulenz from Mobile Suit Gundam 00V.
