Kit Features & Gimmicks
Articulation
- The head can swivel via a single ball-joint neck.
- The arms can...
- Swing on a peg-and-socket joint.
- Raise horizontally.
- The upper arms can rotate.
- Elbow joints can be bent up to 100 degrees.
- The manipulators can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
- The shield and shoulder flaps are poseable.
- The waist can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint construction, though in a limited extent.
- When mounted on the backpack, the Beam Saber Hilts/Beam Cannon slightly tilt sideways or backwards.
- Front and side skirt armors are poseable to avoid interference with the leg articulation.

- Swing frontwards (and backwards in a limited manner due to the non-poseable rear skirt armor) on a peg joint.

Weapons/Other Gimmicks
- The hands are swappable.
- Each of the weapons must be wielded by their respective hand parts.
- ZZ Gundam can be optionally separated into Core Top (via minor parts arrangement) and Core Base.
- Core Top and Core Base can combine to form G-Fortress.
- The missile container on the backpack can be opened or closed.
- Beam Saber hilts/Beam Cannons can be optionally removed from the backpack as handheld weapons.
- The Double Beam Rifle muzzles can tilt up and down.
- The G-Fortress' Display Stand can store extra parts, depending on which form you're displaying.
- Core Base can mount onto any Action Bases (sold separately) with an adapter.
- The G-Fortress can also mount onto the Action Base as well.
Tips & Tricks
- For better results, some or most of the details are needed to be painted and panel-lined with Gundam markers and/or Mr. Color paints.
- Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers and if any, marking decals and painted details.
Customizing-based tips
- The left Beam Saber hand from the HGBF Gundam Tryon 3can be used on this Gunpla. (repaint on the dorsals are required)
B-Club related customizations
- High Detail Manipulator223 can be used on this Gunpla.
- The o.v.e.r.-kit for HGUC ZZ Gundam "Enhanced ZZ Gundam Parts"can be used to remodel this Gunpla into Enhanced ZZ Gundam.

Notes & Trivia
- This Gunpla is a third 1/144 scale, the second HG, and the first HGUC iteration of the ZZ Gundam unit.
- To date, this mold has yet to be released as the Full Armor ZZ Gundam, the Enhanced ZZ Gundam, the FAZZ, and the Gundam Try Zeta.
- Unlike the 2001 RX-78-2 Gundamand the 2003 Zeta Gundam, this Gunpla has yet to have its own Gloss Injection release.
