Kit Features & Gimmicks

• Dom can be built into either a normal or Rick Dom.

Articulation

• The mono-eye is poseable. (The head piece must be removed first to activate it)
• Due to the waist construction, the torso can pivot frontwards or tilt left or right in a limited extent, though it can tilt back in an extent.
• The shoulder joints can pivot up or down, or swing frontwards in an extent.
• The arms can...
  • Swing on a peg-and-socket joint.
  • Raise horizontally.
• The upper arms can rotate.
• Both the elbows and knees can be bent up to 90 degrees.
• The manipulators can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
• The waist can only swivel left or right in a very limited manner.
• The upper thighs can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
  • The front and side skirt armors can pivot to avoid interference.
• The ankles can pivot/tilt on a ball-and-socket joint/universal joint connection.
  • The leg thrusters can also rotate on the ankles' peg-and-socket joint.

Weapons/Other Gimmicks

• The hands are swappable.
• Each of the weapons must be wielded by their respective hand parts.
• Heat Saber can be optionally removed from the backpack's joint piece as a handheld weapon.
• Each of the Bazooka's trigger grips can pivot.
• The crotch panel can be removed to reveal a mounting point for BA-based display stands or Action Bases. (Sold separately)

Tips & Tricks

• For better results, some or most of the details are needed to be painted and panel-lined with Gundam markers and/or Mr. Color paints.
• Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied marking decals and if any, painted details.
  • If using matte/flat-finish top coat, it is advisable not to spray on the clear/translucent parts - can be done by masking or spraying top coat while the said parts are separated.

B-Club related customizations

• High Detail Manipulators 112& 113 (or 175) can be used for this kit.
• Dwadge for HGUC Rick Domcan be used for this kit to customize into Dwadge.

Variants

Reissues of the kit from September 2018 onward will feature a blue-colored Bandai Spirits logo. Later reprints from mid-2022 will also feature an additional Bandai Namco logo.

Notes & Trivia

• This kit is simultaneously released along with the Triple Dom Jet Stream Attack set.
• The purple plastic on this kit is prone to photodegradation if stored in a dark area for too long. In a rather ironic coincidence, the degraded shade is similar to the coloration used for the Triple Dom Set.
• To date, this Gunpla has yet to be redecoed/retooled into the following variants:
  • The MS-09F Dom Funf from Zeonic Front
  • The MS-09M Dom Mermaid and the YMS-09J Dom High Speed Experimental Type from MSV-R
