Articulation

• Due to the nose-like exhaust port, the head can only tilt/pivot/swivel in an extent (unless slightly lifted-up) on a ball-and-socket joint.
• Mono-eye can move left or right via a switch underneath.
• The torso can tilt frontwards or backwards in an extent.
• The arms can...
• Swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
• Raise horizontally.
• The shoulder armors can lift up to provide clearance for the horizontal arm articulation.
• The upper arms can rotate.
• Both the elbow and knees are double-jointed.
• The manipulators can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
• The left default Machine Gun manipulator features 1+1 articulation on the thumb and the integrated index-to-pinky digit.
• The waist can rotate in a very limited extent due to the movement pipes.
• Front and side skirt armors can lift up (in an extent) to provide clearance for the leg articulation.
• The hip joint axis is a see-saw joint, allowing it to move up/down on one side.
• The upper thighs can swing frontward (and backward in a limited extent) on a peg, raise horizontally (also in an extent), and/or rotate on each piece.
• The ankles can tilt/pivot, though the former is hindered by the lower leg panels.

Weapons/Other Gimmicks

• The hands are swappable.
• Machine Gun manipulators can be replaced with default hands to form MS-07A Gouf.
• The Heat Sword hilts can be wielded by their respective weapon-holding hand parts.
• Either of the Heat Sword hilts can store inside the shield.
• Heat Rod can...
• Attach onto the right arm.
• Be adjusted. (Reheating from hair dryer is needed)
• Default Machine Gun manipulator is slightly poseable.

Tips & Tricks

• For better results, some or most of the details are needed to be applied/panel-lined with Gundam Markers and/or Mr. Color paints.
• Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers and if any, marking decals and painted details.
• The Index-to-Pinky Machine Gun fingers can be separated for individual articulation. (NOTE: May decrease stability.)

Reissues of the kit from September 2018 onward will feature a blue-colored Bandai Spirits logo. Later reprints from mid-2022 will also feature an additional Bandai Namco logo.

​Notes & Trivia

• As with the HGUC Gouf Custom, the softer PS-molded blue-colored movement pipes can photodegrade into a very slightly greenish hue over the years if stored in dark areas.
