Kit Features & Gimmicks

Articulation

• The head can swivel/tilt via a double-jointed neck.
• The torso can tilt sideways, or back and forth in a limited manner.
• The arms can...
• Swing on a peg-and-socket joint.
• Raise horizontally.
• The upper arms can rotate.
• The elbow joints can be bent into 90 degrees.
• The manipulators can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
• The waist can rotate.
• The rear skirt armor can pivot to avoid interference with the leg articulation.
• The upper thigh joints can:
• swing frontwards and backwards on a ball-and-socket joint.
• slightly raise horizontally.
• rotate slightly on each piece.
• The knees are double-jointed.
• The ankles can pivot/tilt on a ball-and-socket joint to an extent.
• The Wing Binders on the backpack are poseable.

Weapons/Other Gimmicks

• The hands are swappable.
• The weapons can only be wielded by their own respective hand parts.
• The Beam Saber hilts cannot be stored.
• The Zeta Plus can transform between Mobile Suit and Waverider mode via parts-swapping.
• The Shield can be attached onto any of the forearms, though the default position is on the left.
• The Rifle can attach onto the underside of the waverider mode.
• This method can also be used to store the rifle in MS mode.
• Zeta Plus can mount onto the Action Base.

Tips & Tricks

• For better results, some or most of the details are needed to be painted/panel-lined with Gundam Markers and/or Mr. Color paints.
• Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers and if any, marking decals and painted details.

Notes & Trivia

• First batches of the kit featured some errors (Details on the official bandai hobby site page):
• Bad molding on sides of the head near vulcan guns.
• Wrong desing of the front croch piece (without a step) which was also featured on the box and instruction manual pictures.

Variants

Reissues of the kit from September 2018 onward will feature a blue-colored Bandai Spirits logo. Later reprints from mid-2022 will also feature an additional Bandai Namco logo.
