Kit Features & Gimmicks

Articulation

• The head can pivot up/down on a hinge and swivel on a ball-joint neck.
• The shoulder joints can slightly raise upwards and/or slightly swing forwards/backwards.
• The arms can...
• Swing on a peg-and-socket joint.
• Raise horizontally.
• The upper arms can rotate.
• Both elbow and knee joints can be bent up to 90 degrees.
• The manipulators can swivel on a ball-and-socket joints.
• Front and side skirt armors can pivot to avoid interference with the leg articulation.
• The waist can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint construction.
• The hip joint axis can swing frontwards/backwards on one side.
• The upper thighs are swivel on a ball-and-socket joint construction, though the backwards articulation is limited due to the non-poseable rear skirt armors.
• The ankles can slightly tilt forwards/backwards, or sideways.

Weapons/Other Gimmicks

• The hands are swappable.
• Each of the weapons must be wielded by their own respective hands.
• The Full Armor attachment can mount onto or remove from the Unicorn Gundam.
• The Beam Saber hilts can be optionally removed from the backpack or forearms as handheld weapons.
• Beam Magnum can mount onto either both sides of the arms or onto the backpack via a flip-out tab.
• Beam Magnum Magazine can be stored onto the rear waist armor.
• Either of the two shields (Normal, Destroy Mode) can be mounted onto the backpack via an adapter (A18) if the Unicorn Gundam isn't mounted with the Full Armor attachment.
• The Gatling Guns can be mounted along with the shield as well.
• Hyper Bazooka + Grenade Launcher can be optionally removed from the Full Armor attachment as handheld weapons.
• The Destroy Mode shield + Gatling Gun combinations can form a triple I-Field arrangement via an adapter arm.
• Support stands can be attached to the Large Boosters.
• Unicorn Gundam can mount onto any Action Bases. (sold separately)

Tips & Tricks

• For better results, most of the details are needed to be applied and panel-lined with Gundam Markers.
• Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers and if any, marking decals and painted details.
• Care must be taken while separating the hand parts: Due to its slightly tight construction, the pin that connects the thumb section can potentially snap off if you separate it with excessive force.
• If one chooses, the normal Unicorn Mode shield can be built into Destroy Mode's shield with the surplus pieces (B25, B26, E28, 2 pairs of C20-21)
• The surplus shield adapter (A9) can be used as well.

Customizing-based tips

• Front skirt's joint can be optionally separated.
• The open hands from the HGUC RX-0 Unicorn Gundam (Unicorn Mode) can be used on this kit.
• The clear parts from The Gundam Base exclusive variant can be used to swap the Psycoframe parts (and its polycaps) to recreate the deactivated version of the unit.

B-Club related customizations

• High Detail Manipulator 200 can be used for this kit.

Variants

Reissues of the kit from September 2018 onward will feature a blue-colored Bandai Spirits logo. Later reprints from mid-2022 will also feature an additional Bandai Namco logo, and later an added "8+" notation for further reprints.
