Kit Features & Gimmicks

• The Gunpla can be interchanged into either Duel Blitz or regular Duel. (The forearm cuffs must be swapped as well.)

Articulation

• The head can swivel on a ball joint, and pivot back on a hinge.
• Torso can tilt frontwards (or backward) or sideways (in a limited manner).
• Shoulder joints can tilt frontward or upward.
• The arms can...
• Swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
• Raise horizontally.
• The upper arms can rotate.
• The elbow and knee parts are double-jointed.
• The manipulators can swivel on a ball-and-socket joint.
• The waist can swivel, though it can be hindered by some hip armor panels.
• Each of the hip joint axis can slide down to provide extra articulation space for the legs.
• The upper thighs can swing frontward (and backward in a very limited extent due to the Assault Shroud skirt armor) on a peg, raise horizontally and/or rotate on each piece.
• Front and side skirt armors can flip up to avoid interference.
• The ankle joints can pivot and/or swivel (though limited) on a ball-and-socket joint.

Weapons/Other Gimmicks

• Any of the weapons can be wielded by the hand parts.
• The Beam Saber hilt(s) can be removed from either the opening panel on the left Assault Shroud Armor, or the regular Duel backpack, as handheld weapons.
• The Beam Rifle on the Assault Shroud's right shoulder armor can be flipped out.
• One or two of the shafts can be optionally removed from the Lancer Dart, as either individual display pieces or handheld weapons.
• Piercer Lock's claw can be displayed in in either standby or discharged modes.
• The Piercer Lock can also mount onto the stand.
• Duel Blitz Gundam can mount onto...
• The M.E.T.E.O.R. Unit from the HGGS METEOR Unit + Freedom Gundam or the HGGS METEOR Unit.

Tips & Tricks

• For better results, some or most of the details are needed to be applied and panel-lined with Gundam Markers.
• Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers and if any, marking decals and paint details.
• If using matte/flat-finish top coat, it is advisable not to spray on the clear/translucent and soft parts - can be done by masking or spraying top coat while the said parts are separated.

Notes & Trivia

• This Gunpla is...
• First revealed at March 22 as part of Bandai Hobby's "Hobby New Item Info" from this month.
• The first HGCE iteration of the Duel Gundam (at least it's interchangeable base form).
• As it uses a similar frame runner for the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom-based HG kits on the SEED-Action System, it does not reutilize parts from the HGGS GAT-X102 Duel Gundam Assault Shroud or the runners from the HGBF Build Strike Gundam Full Package/HGCE Aile Strike Gundam.
• Though the Duel Blitz's base form shares a largely identical silhouette with the High Grade Gundam SEED kit,The Assault Shroud armor from the HG SEED kit (and the armor parts from the Blu Duel Gundam) cannot mount onto this kit's base form due to the differently-molded pegs.
• Likewise, the Anti-Beam Shield from the same HG SEED kit (and to an extent, the HGCE Aile Strike Gundam's) cannot be used on this Gunpla due to the square-shaped pegholes on the forearms.
• Though stock photos of the product and its box art depicts the Mobile Suit using the Beam Rifle, the movie proper does not feature the Duel Blitz using it.
